About the McSwain Home

The McSwain Home, constructed in 1915 by Joseph McSwain and his wife, Elizabeth Green McSwain, stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the McSwain family in Bonita Springs. Originally hailing from Oysaka, Mississippi, the family established roots in Bonita Springs in 1901. This historic home now offers visitors a glimpse into pioneer living in what was then known as the Town of Survey, providing a unique window into the early days of settlement and community development in the region.
