Preserving Family Memories with Nancy Range Anderson

Every family has more than names, dates, photographs, and keepsakes. Behind those items are the stories that explain who we are, where we came from, and what mattered to the people who came before us.

In this interactive presentation, author and storyteller Nancy Range Anderson explores practical and meaningful ways to preserve not only family materials, but also the memories connected to them. Participants will consider the stories held in photographs, recipes, traditions, letters, heirlooms, familiar sayings, and everyday objects—and learn simple ways to capture those stories before they are lost.

The program is organized around four steps:

• Remember the people, places, traditions, and moments that shaped your family.

• Capture the details that give those memories meaning.

• Preserve stories and materials in manageable, lasting ways.
